Heather and Adam contacted me last year about their wedding. They were not from this area, but were planning a very small, very simple wedding in one of their favorite locations - Cook Forest. I was so excited to be a part of their day because, first of all, I also LOVE Cook Forest and have spent a lot of time there over the years. And second of all, I love small weddings. I love weddings which really reflect the couple's unique personality, where the couple plans their day exactly the way they want, surrounded only by their absolute closest friends and family.
The wedding was held outdoors, on the lawn by the beautiful Gateway Lodge. And it was a beautiful and perfect day!!! The officiant was actually a good friend and this was the first time he ever officiated a wedding. And he did an AMAZING job!!!
After the ceremony, Heather and Adam and I spent some time getting some beautiful portraits throughout Cook Forest before we returned for dinner and a small reception back at Gateway Lodge.
This was also a wedding filled with emotion. I probably have never seen so many tears at a wedding EVER. There were many tears when Heather's dad saw her the first time. There were many tears all throughout the ceremony. And the reception? Well they had a slew of hilarious and touching speeches which made EVERYONE (yes me too) shed a few tears!
It would almost impossible for me to only choose a few favorite photos to share from this wedding, so I am going to do a little bit of an overshare. But I don't think anyone will mind!!!
Thank you so much Heather and Adam for choosing me as your wedding photographer!!!! Now onto the photos!
